Dr. O'Neill hails from the great Northeast where he graduated with a magna cum laude Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Vermont. He received his Medical doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine and continued his training with both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency and Cytolopathology fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, part of the Harvard system.

Dr. O'Neill joined Ruffolo, Hooper & Associates M.D., P.A. in 2012 and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Cytopathology. He currently serves as a staff pathologist at Tampa General Hospital, being one of two pathologists that cover the busy heart, liver, and lung transplant services. 

Dr. O'Neill is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Cytopathology, and member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
